SLOVENE STUDENTS

What a worthless lot of vultures our Students are. I can't believe it. First and foremost, they don't have a clue how good they have it. Free education? When I mention that fact to foreigners they gasp in amazement (foreigners plz gasp with me, for added effect!). It's like they think free education is their god given right. Like hell it is. They have it. And they should count themselves lucky that they do, unlike youth in other countries that has to pay off their student loans for years and years after they've finished their Unis. Second... heavily discounted coupons allowing them meals in normal restos around town? I haven't seen shit like that anywhere else. Third... untaxed work? What the fuck is that shit? Their first job is to study. You want full-time work pay taxes like regular people.

So now The government wants to take away this third benefit away from them. No more untaxed work. I'm the biggest critic of our current government but in this instance, they're totally right imo. Long time coming, since lots of people have been using the institution of higher education to disguise their untaxed full-time work egangements, which was anything but fair to regular workers, not to mention student organization leaders have been getting insanely rich, since they scored commissions from all this untaxed work students did. And what do our awesome future intellectuals do? They attack the Parliament building with eggs and wine bottles, Greek-style. I'm all for expressing mass opinion through means of protest but this is ridiculous. I seriously wouldn't mind right now if the police/army went all Tiananmen-square on their asses.

What's even more sad is the fact most of these students don't realize they're nothing but canon fodders for student organizations which take millions of euros of provisions from students' untaxed work. They are the ones who arranged these protests. They are the ones who spured things on. Students are just a flock of sheep being taken for a ride and it's sad seeing them like this - letting themselves get exploited by gray impotent old men in suits
